So, this last week was a lot better than the week before but still working hard! The big news for this week is that my sector just doubled and I got another companion! So now I have 2 other companions! Crazy crazy stuff! This kid wants to work. He is from mexico and he reminds me exactly of Josh Flygare!!!! But mexican!!! Hahaha! He is such a funny kid and he is always playing voicemale christmas music! It helps me feel like I'm at home to hear Mike Bearden singing christmas music!!!! I am so sad I don't get to see christmas, it's pure HEAT here right now! doesn't feel a thing like christmas!
Hopefully this next month we can have a few baptisms. I feel like we will becuase the sector is huge and there is so much potential here!!!!! That is so cool that L TOM PERRY is coming to your stake conference!!!!!! OH SO SO SO LUCKY!!!!!!!!! I wish I was there!!!! We are going to have a conference Tuesday, and last Sunday they anounced an apostle is coming to our mission next year! Like in march or something!  I might get to meet him! I hope so!!!! That would be so cool!
Anyways, sorry family and friends that my letters get shorter and shorter!  But I love you all so very much and I am so greatful for your support and love!!!! Thank you for all the prayers! They are well needed!!!!!!

So this last week I got transfered out of PorVenir and now I am in a place called FRUTILLAR!
I took a 3 hour boat ride from PorVenir to Punta Arenas, then a 2 hour plane ride from there to Puerto Montt, then a 30 min bus ride from there to a bus station, then a 1 1/2 hour bus ride to Frutillar! So it was like a 7 hour transfer. Crazy crazy!!!! It is so beatiful here! So, so green and apparently it's the prettiest part of Chile!!!! I will send pictures next week cause I don't have my camera.  But man, there is so much work to do here! So much!" This week has been so much work and it has been so hard because in PorVenir we were teaching all day. And now here it's mostly knocking doors; which I hate to say, is very ineffective. My companion is fresh in the mission. He is form Peru and he is the only active member in his family. His mom is a member but she is less active and he doesn't even know her.  So... he doesn't have really any support at all. He lives with his grandparents and that's it. Now, I live in a house of four people and they're all latinos so my spanish is getting really good. They are helping me with my accent so it's all good! Anyways, thank so much family and friends for all you do"! I love you all so, so much! Thank you for all you do for me and all your prayers!!!!

Dear Family,

This week was a good week, but also kinda sad at the same time. I am getting transferred to Puerto Varas tomorrow! It's in the north! It was sad to have to say goodbye to lot of people again. But it wasn't too bad this second time. The progresion of this place has been amazing. The peole have changed so much.  That is what makes me most happy! The the time here has gone by so extememly fast!!!!  I can't even believe it.

Everyone here says Puerto Varas is the preetiest part of the mission so I'm pretty excited because down in the south is really brown and I have been dying to see some GREEN!!!

What I've learned form this last sector is patience and persistency.  Which is very hard.  I learned that I'm on The Lords time and his errand, not mine.  Life truly is better that way anyways. But I've also learned that people require consistant, patient assistant in order to progress. Also, that the key to helping people change is by inviting them to do so.  Nobody is going to become a member of the chuch unless invited.  Nobody is going to repent unless told to do so!  So never be nervous to invite friends and family to change!!!!!

Anyways, thank you so much family for all the love and support!!! Love you all very very much!!!

Elder Jones's previous companion, Elder Jones, Elder Werner and Elder Beals

Elder Beals & Elder Jones they are as far south as South America goes.

A lot of dogs.

These last couple weeks have been a real test of patience and it has worked so good!

Hahaha, but the work is going good. This might be my last week here in PorVenir because we have transfers this next week.  We will see!  My companion and I have been trying to work really hard and get everything ready before the transfers so that the next missonaries in here can keep up all the stuff we have been doing.
One of my greatest joys in the field is honestly seeing the people live righteously and then see the blessings that come from it. It's so easy to see in the mission the difference between the happiness and the success of the people when they are doing all that the Lord asks them to do verses when they are doing what they want to do. It has definitely been a blessing to be able to see this. Because now I know for a fact that living the gospel is so much better than not.
This last week I decided I would man up and play the organ in church so I practiced all week and I did it! and it was so much better than not having it.
This last week we also had a wedding of a member and an investigator that we are teaching! But wow, I'm telling you, it was so weird to be part of such a wedding. I could definitely see how off the world was and how worldly the world is (if that makes sense.)  The wedding was really nice... However, no matter how nice the wedding is nothing was more sad then for the person to say "Till death do you part."  What a blessing it is that we have the opportunity to be married in the temple and live together forever!!!!
This last week I have truly had the opportunity to see the difference in a group of people that have the gospel and a group that doesn't, side by side, and the truth is that there is no greater happiness than in the gospel, nor can it be found anywhere else with anything else. The only way to have FULL, COMPLETE and TOTAL happiness is through living the gospel of Jesus Christ. I am so greatful and you and I are so blessed to have that gospel in our lives!!!! To be able to wake up every morning with a peaceful feeling that you are doing what is right no matter how hard life gets. THAT IS A BLESSING! I think we are can make a better and more willing effort to share this blessing and this happiness with EVERYONE!!!! because that is truly what will make this world a better place.

Dear Family, I love you all so very much. I am so very greatful for your prayers and your support.

CON AMOR; Elder Beals.

This last week has been hard I wont lie. I dont know how many times I can say the people here just dont get it. However, it was a good week as well. Time is just going by faster and faster everyday. Friday we did some service for a lady who had told us that she needed help organizing some stuff.  However, when we got there she gave us two hoes and we HAND TILLED a garden fulll of grass as big as our backyard!!!!! Now I am so, so sore from not having worked like that in so long! One thing that I definetly have come to realize in the mission is that the worst always comes before the good. And satan is always there to try and get us to turn back. The best way to make it through these trials is to have a plan before hand, and to stick with it to the end. Which has also helped me learn the importance of doing everything with a meaningul purpose!!!!!! Wow the mission is just so so incredible and I am learning so, so much!!!!

I love you all so very much!!!!

If you cant understand this then you will have to throw it into google transate or something!!!

CON AMOR;
ELDER BEALS!!!!

THIS WEEK WAS SO, SO GOOD!!!!!!

So this week we had to go into Punta Arenas to have a bunch of conferences, and some stake conferences as well as other stuff. But it was so, so awesome; because I got to see all the members from my old sector!!!!!! I was so happy to see them and it brought so, so much joy! It shows so much how important it is to serve a mission! There truly are people out there that only specific people can touch their lives. All of the members that I got to see have such a special place in my heart. And they have changed my life forever! I am so happy that I got to see them again because it helped me see the importance of being the best person you can be with every person you meet! Such a wonderful experience.

Anyways, I have been here the whole time so I didn't have a whole lot of time in my sector.  But our investigators are for sure progressing! It is so cool to see the change in peoples lives.

Saturday night we had a stake conference. I learned so much about the work. Truly these are the last days and the work is definetly a sign of it. But the thing that was most important to me; that I learned during this conference; Of which I want to share with you guys; Is the importance of working together as missionaries and as members.  The person that was speaking was a seventy and he said that... This is not the work of the missionaries, nor the work of the members; but it's the work of the Lord. And that we both have the same amount of responsibility to do the work. Whether a member or a missionary. He invited every person in the congregation to have a family home evening with someone who was either less active or not a member. To invite them to come to their house and have a family home evening, and BRING THEM TO THE GOSPEL.  Then he brought up some logistics.  He showed that Punta Arenas has 160,000 people; that 4,500 have been baptized as members, and that only 500 are active.  Basically he said, "Brethren, we have work to do."

It was so inspiring as missionaries! It gave a such a wave of energy.  Because truly we are incapable without the help of the members.

My point and invitation to all of you is TO PLEASE HELP THE MISSIONARIES IN YOUR AREA!!!! We need you help! And so does The Lord!!!!

Anyways, I love you all family and friends!!!! Thank you so so much for your prayers! I can feel the power and see the effects of them everyday! I am truly grateful for every little prayer! Thank you so much!

So this last week has been so, so, so crazy! we have been doing lots and lots of walking recently and less and less teaching. Satan has been trying to do any and every thing in the world to stop us from working because this place has turned into a literal gold mine! My companion and I have been whippin out the spirit left and right on people here and they are progressing so well! We have a family that we are teaching and they FINALLY accepted a baptismal date for the 16th of Nov!!! They are so excited and so am I! However, we found out that the reason she didn't want to get baptized and still kind of doesn't is because she is TERRIFIED OF WATER!!!!! she had a bad experince when she was little and is now scared, like literally so scared to get into water! But she is going do it!

My companion and I started a temple program here and it is going so, so great! The plan is to help every person go to the temple in 2014. And it is so wonderful to see how happy the families' are for it! We had our first ¨Family plan to go to the temple" I guess you would call it, this week, and it was so awesome and so powerful!

Next month we are going to have 4 baptisms and I am so, so, so excited! I hope I dont get transfered out of here before then! Because the people here are so so wonderful!

This is kind of our program with the members! we have a family home evening, they decide on a date, make some goals and a whole lot of other stuff goes into it as to when! So happy though, for this family!

How is jacob and preparing for his mission? I hope he gets called to OSORNO!!!! it is so sick here! It said in my patriarchal blessing that I will find joy in seeing my converts go forth and live the gospel! It is so true. That is certainly what makes me so, so, very happy! I think I am fluent now too, by the way! I hope you learn spanish so I can talk with you guys in spanish after the mission and perhaps during the mission!

Right now we have 3 brand new investigators who are taking lessons as of last night. Because they heard that I can play the piano.  So they wanted us to come over! So amazing!!!! Although I think I forgot how to play the piano.

Thank you so much family for you love and your support! I love you all so so very much! Thank you for your prayers!

Monday, October 7, 2013

Alright so this week was a little slow but it was a fantastic week because of conference!!!!!

I didn't really understand everything because it was all in spanish and by the time we got to the last session my brain hurt so bad from trying to interpret everything that I caught almost nothing! But it doesn't even matter because the spirit is what testifies of the truth and really speaks to men!

My convert is doing wonderful! She is such a powerful person! Thank you so much for the prayers and support for her! I definetly know that they have had an affect in the simple process of conversion and following our savior Jesus Christ!

Yesterday was the day of transfers and it looks like I will be staying here in Porvenir for another 6 weeks! My companion and I have lots of high goals and expectations for this next 6 weeks and what we want to see come out from the Branch and our Investigators and I am so extremely excited!!!!

SHOUT OUT TO HERMANA DEWEY!!!!! During conference inbetween the session they had some program on and I SAW MY MTC TEACHER!!!!!!!! she was a teacher in a class in the mexico mtc!!!!! That is so sick!!!!!

It is so wonderful to hear from everyone and to hear about the BYU and other sport updates! Thank you so very much!!!! Wow, I can't believe it's hunting time.  It's kinda weird but I actually miss hunting.  Mostly because I wish I was spending time with my dad.

I love you all and I would encourage you to ALWAYS live the commandments of the LORD!!!! Never ever look back! If you need a recomfirmation, then ask for it as many times as you need it! The lord has blessings waiting to be taken up! We simply have to go and pick them up!

Also I would like to invite you all to take heed of the words of the prophets that we just heard and get involed in the work of the missionaries in the area you live!!!! The importance of this commandment is VERY BIG!!! as missionaries we are incapable without the members! Please help the missionaries in whatever way the lord wants you to!

LOVE, ELDER BEALS!

Monday, September 30, 2013

Alright, so this last week was so crazy, but so so so great!!!!!! To start off with... On Monday, our investigator, who had the date to be baptized was super, super excited telling everyone that she was going to be baptized and all. Everything was just wonderful! We were super excited for her and everything! We had made plans to pass by her house everyday just to make sure that satan didn't pull any tricks or anything on us.

So Tuesday we passed by to see how she was doing and all and she was still super excited and everything. Then that night we decided to pass by her house again for some reason and she was like "Elders, I need to talk to you." and we were like.... "Uh oh." and she said "Elders, I dont feel right. I need to wait a little bit of time.. I feel like I am lacking something!" And we, knowing her, were like "NOOO you don't lack anything!" This sister has such a huge testimony of the gospel and we reminded her that satan was going to be working on her and that her thoughts were coming from satan! But nothing was working. We invited her to keep praying and we continued to pray so hard! I was absolutly heart broken and devastated. Then Wednesday passed still nothing. Thursday we had a lesson with her and a family. And she was like "Okay, but I need to find out what I lack so I still need to wait."  We said "Okay, we are going to pass by again tomorrow." Then on Friday she said that she still needed to wait. And we just didn't understand. The Lord confirmed to all of us that she would be ready by the 28th, but she just didn't feel it anymore. Then Friday night we had an activity at the church.  Afterwards we invited her to talk with the branch president about her feelings and everything. They were talking for forever.  And when they finished, she said "Okay I'm gonna pray again!" So Saturday morning we called her around 2:00, and she said.... "Elders, I need to be baptized today. Is that still okay?" We were SO HAPPY!!!! So we hurried and ran to the church and filled up the font and called all the members and we had a wonderful baptism!!!!!

Then Sunday morning, the next day, I was reading the Liahona right before church and I realized that I had baptized her WRONG!!!!!!! I didn't even think about it and the witnesses didn't catch it either!!! so we hurried and called the mission president and right after church I had to baptize her AGAIN!!!!! But all was well!

I WILL NEVER MAKE THAT MISTAKE AGAIN!!!!!!!!

However, I have never been so happy in my life to see someone make a covenant with the Lord! Awe, it was such a wonderful day!!!! I'm pretty sure! I have actualy never been happier in my life before. I have a new perception of the mission and how to do the work and I can't wait to continue to do the work and bring more people into the waters of baptism!!!

My companion Elder Jones is a great companion

The people in the picture are the members, our convert and a couple of our investigators.

HOLA FAMILIA Y AMIGOS!!!!!

This last week was just wonderful!!!!! We have got many investigators that are progressing, and they are all doing so very good! I was a little worried from being sick that our sector would take a pretty big hit, but the Lord blessed us and protected us and everything was better than when we left it.  Even though we couldn't work for a week! This Saturday we have a baptism and I am so so so so so so super excited for it!

This last week was the national independence week and so there was lots of parties and crazy stuff. Because we are stuck on a little peaceful island nothing really big happened here except for the streets were like a ghost town!

Anyways, we ended up eating a ton of food and stuff during the week which probably wasn't the best for my stomach.  But it's all good!

No Mom, I didnt get your package yet. Most of the goverment buildings here have been on strike and so everything has been closed down. Including the mail service. And to top things off, I only get mail when I go into Punta Arenas... so about once a month.... So, I have no idea when I will get it.  But I will take a package anyday!!!! Thank you so very much mom! And will you tell Aubrey and Jefferson I am so sorry for forgetting to tell them Happy Birthday.

The time lately has just been flying by so very fast and I realized that Jake is gonna be coming out in the field here pretty soon!!!!! It's so crazy!!!! I hope they send him to Chile Osorno! Anyways, I LOVE YOU ALL SO VERY MUCH!!!! You have all been incredible examples in my life.  And I hope I can represent that example with all my heart, might, mind and strength!

So talk about the longest most painful week of my LIFE!!!!! Last sunday I got very sick right after church. So after lunch and a couple of appointments, my companion an I went back to the house. That night I was throwing up and just having the absolute worst time of my life. Then, the next morning was p-day and I obiously couldn't go out because I was sick. Then the next day we had to travel to Punta Arenas to do stuff for my visa which just drained me completely. Wednesday when we got up I had almost no energy whatsoever. But I still when out and then I started to just get really light headed and really really cold. So they took me back to the house and called a doctor to come see me. After seeing the doctor he said he had no idea what was wrong. So I went back to the zone leaders house and then just started to get super super cold again and I couldn't stop shaking from being so cold that I went into shock.  They laid me and the floor and tried to get me to breathe a little, but I was so cold. They took my temperature and I had a fever of 103!!!!! So they ripped off all the blankets and everything and I eventually calmed down. Then the next morning I just laid in bed all day and went to see another doctor! Then Friday I had to travel back to Porvenir and when I got back I was just dead. I had no energy and couldn't do anything. Luckily the president of the Rama and his wife are doctors and so they came and looked at me, and then they hurried and ran to the hospital and got an IV.  I was hooked up on that the rest the day. Saturday I just rested all day.  Sunday I got up and went to church and when we got to the church I just collapsed. So the president sent me back home and I just rested all day again.

I have never wanted to leave a house so bad in my life!!!
But now I am pretty much 100 percent I think. This week is the national independence week so I can rest a little bit so thats good. But other than that I did absolutely NOTHING this week! So pretty boring week.

Anyways, I love you all! thank you for your prayers and support!!!

These are some pictures I found on the internet.  It is so cold in Tierra Del Fuego
that the glaciers never melt.

These trees don't even look real.  especially in the winter.

A little fishing community in Porvenir. Which is the largest city in Tierra Del Fuego.

Sorry everyone I didn't email you all on Monday it's because I have been sick since Sunday and I'm still sicker than a dog...... but it's okay because Elder Holland said once in a talk that if we are ever faced with trials and difficulties that just means that the best is soon to come after!

We have 5 investigators with a date to be baptized and about 3 of them are going to be baptized the 28 of this month!!!! so im pretty happy to finally be seeing some results.

This Sunday was a little interesting... I presided, conducted and taught principles of the gospel class.... quite a day that was; and then imedietly after church I got sick! I think the lord blessed me and let the sickness sit out till I did the work that needed to be done.

I found out that the chapel in Provenir where I am currently serving is the most southern chapel in the WORLD!!!!! which is pretty crazy.

The weather here is starting to warm up and the days are going to a whole lot faster now with warmer weather!

I feel so bad for Chris..... but knowing the plan of salvation, I know that what the lord has in store is so much better than what we can imagine!

Tell the KUNZ's that I love them so much and that they are in my prayers!!!!! I know that Celeste is definitely in the Celestial Kingdom right now! The plan of salvation is truly a plan of happieness!

I love hearing about the BYU upadates!!!! They make me so happy and I can't believe that Brandon Davies signed with my FAVORITE TEAM IN THE NBA!!!!! That is so freaking sick!!!!

That's cool that Brock got his mission call! Tell him I said congrats and to start studying Preach my Gospel like crazy! It will bless him so much!!!!!!

Monday, September 2, 2013

so this last week was a pretty normal week. I got another new companion and we are working great together!!!! This week was very challanging though, because I am the lead for the sector and I have only been here for two weeks but it has taught me so much and I have grown a lot from it too! My spanish this last week just shot up so much! And all of the sudden I could communicate a ton!!!!! But there are so many people here that remind me of people back at home and sometimes I wish I was back at home so I could just help them! so when I get back I am for sure gonna bust the gospel out on everyone!!!! haha! anyways, I dont have a whole lot of time! I love you all so much family!!! you have all been such an incredible blessing in my life!
I can write personally now, so if you write me will probably have a little bit of time to write a short note back!
LOVE YOU ALLL!

WOW so this last week was absouluty amazing!!! I've never had so much success my whole time out here!!!!

My companion, Elder Jensen and I, work so so so so hard and the lord has blessed us like I've never seen before!!!!!! It has been such a humbling experience!!!!!!! I've never been so happy in my whole life!!! we have amazing investigators and they are all progressing! However, I know for a fact that our success that we had this last week was completely from the hands of the lord!!! i would be lying to say that the success of the sector came souly from our efforts. I can testify that everything good that happened this last week was from the lord!

We broke all the records in the sector!!!!!!!! however, like I said I know it was the lord blessing us!

Well, this week is real transfers and so elder jensen is leaving and I'm getting a new companion this Wednesday. which I am kinda sad because we had such short time together. But my new companion, Elder Jones, is pretty awesome so I'm excited! but I am also kinda nervous because I'm the lead for the sector now and I've only been here two weeks!!!!! however, I know that if the lord trusts me that I can trust myself and I just have to continue to rely on the spirit!

It's so good to hear that everyone back at home is doing good! I love you all and miss you all so much!!!! I hope that everything continues to be rewarding, learning, experiences because that is the only way to return to our father and heaven! KEEP BUILDING THE KINGDOM OF OUR FATHER IN HEAVEN!

LOVE YOU ALL!!

Tuesday, August 20, 2013

Alright, alright, so this last week was just absolutly crazy!!!!!! the APs called me and Tuesday and said "pack your backs your going on an emergency transfer tomorrow!"

so boom! I'm here now!!!! I am on an island called TIERRA DEL FUEGO! in english that means land of the fire! half the island is part of chile and the other half is part of argentina! its absolutly crazy!!!! I had to take a 3 hour boat ride to get here and my companion and I are the only missionaries on the island!!!!! so we don't ever get to see other missionaries. I had to buy all my food in Punta Arenas because there aren't places to buy regular groceries here! It's a little cold here!!!! super super windy! But the people here are really nice! Their spanish is a little different though.... no se. But all is well!

My new companion is elder JENSEN!!! he is from California and he is a great companion!!!! I really think we are going to have a lot of success here!!!! there hasn't been a baptism here for a really long time so I hope we can get a couple here!

I was a little sad to have to leave my last sector especialy because it was on such short notice!!!! But the people there are in good hands I think....

CHAD!!!! thank you so much for the advice and the counsel!  the last couple weeks were getting pretty stressful at some points, but all is good now and really thank you so much!!!! Really means the world to me!!! Thank you!!!!

Thank you so much family and friends for keeping me updated and posted!!! I miss you all so much and love you all!!!!! Always remember the lord and all he has done for us!!!!

Jacob: make sure you work as hard as you can this senior year! I promise you that you're going to want good grades! your future literally depends on it!!! so give it your all! I'm glad to hear that your having all this fun without me!!!! shoot bro, I wish I was there!!!! love you tons buddy!

Monday, August 5, 2013

Aright, so this last week was freaking awesome!!!!!!!

Saturday I got to hang out with the President all day and he is a super awesome guy!!!!! He took a picture of me with his phone and did some fat booth thing to it and said "Hey Elder Beals, This is what your gonna look like in 2 years!!!" hahahaha so funny! but I'm sad, cause I hope that doesnt really happen!!!!!!

I took it back to the good days with my uncles and cousins when we would discuss business ideas and theories, and i had to present my "Business Ideas" I guess you would say for the mission! The President really liked my idea of having an "Addiction Recovery Program" for all of our Less Actives, Members, and Investigators here in Punta Arenes, so we are getting that started right away now!!!!! hahahaha

We just had a new member move into the ward who does constuction but he is gonna be living here alone for about 4 months before his family moves in so he wanted us to come visit him because he is lonley. So the other day we went and visited him and he wanted to show us the college he is working on and building, so we went and looked at it and it made me SO HOME SICK!!!!! he had all these tools and just the smell of fresh cut 2 x 4`s made me wish I was home so bad!!!!! so i was like hey man you ever need help you got the best man right here. I would LOVE to help!!!! he was so happy! he was like oh service? and i was like heck yeah!!!!

The sister that we taught last week with Papita is all good now!!! she commited to baptism!!!!! so hopefully it will be pretty soon!!!!

Anyways, I love you all so very much and im sorry I don't have time or privalege to write you all personaly or else I would I promise!!!!!! I love you all so very much and thank you so much for all the support!!!! you are ALL in my prayers!!!

LOVE YOU ALLL!!!!!!

Monday, July 29, 2013

WOW this last week was absolutly cray cray!!!!!
They split my sector in half and put in some sisters but the problem is that all of our investigators were on their side of the sector. So this last week has been super difficult! but we found 6 new investigators and had the most lessons I've had since I've been out on the mission! the only thing is that every single one of our investigators has somewhat got some sort of problem...... we taught one guy who apparently thinks its cool in chile to chill in womens tights that are transparent during the lesson but whatever. another guy thinks that that every christian church has the priesthood authority of god.

We found a really nice nice lady who said we can teach her but she lives alone so we had to get a member to come with us to go and teach her and the only person that we could get was papito....during this lesson that was supposed to be about the RESTORATION papito decided to wing his own deal and we taught about EXCOMUNICATION, REINCARNATION, and CREMATION!!!!! like what the freak? anyways all is welll because she is extememly receptive and she invited us to come back and she wants papito to come with us! she thinks they are friends now!!!!! The Lord was definetly watching out for us!

Winter has started here in Punta Arenes so its just getting colder and colder and more and more windy! I am so glad I bought that leather coat because it is the warmest thing on earth!

Im glad to hear that Jacob is doing soccer because I actually LOVE soccer now!!!!  I know its crazy! I thought I would never say that but I bought some National Chile Soccer Team jerseys that are SICKKKKK!

I found my blessing by the way mom so you dont have to send it to my anymore!!!!
and the music yeah if you want to send it on a USB or something that would be awesome!!! Anyways the people here are pretty nice. I've had a lot of doors litteraly slammed in my face but it's their loss so it's all good! The people here love to feed the missionaires so I have gained so much weight that even the members can tell a difference which is sad!!!! I work out but its no good!
It's pretty 1st world too! They have a wallmart here and malls and all that stuff. You can get the same stuff here as the states.
SORRY, I never have a lot to write!!!! It seems like all week I have stuff to write home but then when I sit down my mind goes blank!

I LOVE YOU ALLL SO SO VERY MUCH!!!!!!!

JACOB: Bro, I miss you so much man!!!! so much!!!! the other day I was telling my companion how much I hope they call you to Osorno!!!!! Alright, so this last week was so freezzzzzzing cold!!!!!!! the coldest its been the whole time I've been here! this week they split my sector in half and sent in some Hermanas that are pretty chill I guess but they ended up taking like 4 or 5 of our investigators who we had worked so hard to find and were preparing for baptism. And they took a ton of our less actives as well. So my companion and I were outside knocking doors all day everyday during the coldest part of the year. I seriously want to cut off my legs, they were so cold! but its all good because the hard work makes the week go by faster! We found a bunch of new people as well! We have been working so hard to build this ward because it is so weak. And this week we had the most members that they have had for a long time however, because our sector split none of our investigators in the hermanas sector attended church this Sunday... which worrys me! I hope the investigators will like the sisters.

Everyday the people that live in front of us play american music.... I'm talkin the good stuff! the stuff I jam too and it is so nice to hear american music!!!!!! it makes me feel so good!!!! I always just want to bust out and dance!!!! hahahah!

Oh yeah HAPPY BIRTHDAY this week mom!!!!! I hope you have a wonderful day!!!!! last monday I was so sad because I wasn't celebrating Jacobs birthday with him!

They changed the emails rules a little bit. I can't email anyone about any other person in the mission for the sake of privacy so sorry mom we cant talk about certain people any more.

I've decided for me to better relate to the people here and understand them better I would relate them to people they remind me most of back at home..... hahaha and it's actually been really funny! But it really helps!

Monday July 1

So I dont have a lot of time to email this morning.....

This last week has been the longest but yet fastest week of my life so far!

We have been teaching more people but not very many people are progressing at all. And most of the people we have been teaching have been less active. But not really too much luck.

We are trying to get the members motivated to want to work with us but the missionaries before us kind of destroyed the trust between the members and the missionaries. So nobody wants to come out with us and we have like maybe 3 lessons with members a week.

Oh mom, this sister I was talking to you about really wants to email you and she said she sent you a message on facebook and she is getting really anxious for you to respond. HAHAHA. but you are going to have to use Catalina to translate and write back cause its in spanish.....

so I've been using this scale to weigh myself everyday and I though I lost 7 pounds and then someone told me the scale didn't really work and they gave me a scale that does work and I've actually gained 5 pounds......

Mom what was the example you told me about a person being baptized in the right church and having a girlfriend? or a wife or something? you told me it when we were in Costco one time.

I love to hear from you all!!!!! Thank you so much for all the support you have been in my life! And
Thank you for the birthday wishes!!!!!

Monday June 24

Alright so this week has been a  little cray cray!

This week flew by so fast and every week is getting faster and faster!!!! I've been working so so hard! the people here are absolutly amazing and my spanish is slowly coming! the Lord has blessed me so much this week!

On Sunday some drunk guy came into the church and his hands where dripping with blood and he started screaming some spanish stuff im probably glad I couldnt understand! so me and me companion had to escort him out.... pretty crazy.

Then the other night I was cutting potatoes and they wouldnt freaking cut so I tried to slam the butcher knife on the potato and missed and nailed my middle finger.....
I was so scared I cut off my finger that I couldnt even look down... and I was thinking im never gonna be able to play the piano again!!!! my finger hurt from hitting it so hard but when I looked at it I only had a small cut! personaly I believe I was protected.... no say.

This week was a little hard because I've been working as hard as I can to fix this sector and we got a whole bunch of appointments and we haven't even had any since I've been here. Then 6 of them fell through!!!! so hard!

Some people just don't understand the importance of getting baptized and taking upon the name of Christ and then those that have done so don't recongnize that they have to continue to live the commandments of god!

The people here really struggle with the law of chastity and getting married.

But today is gonna be awesome cause I get to play basketball! im gonna ball so hard! I haven't played in like 3 weeks!

Despite all the hardships and trails I never get discoraged. I absolutly love this gospel and I know that the Lord wants his missionaries to be successful! To all my Bros and Girls out serving or getting ready to serve, NEVER GET DISCORAGED!!!!!! it is satan!

Ive never missed my family so much but yet I've never been happier!
Thank you everyone for your emails of support and about your missions!

I love to here from you all! you are all AMAZING people and children of a God who has complete love for every person on this earth!!!!

I LOVE YOU ALLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
