So this last week I got transfered out of PorVenir and now I am in a place called FRUTILLAR!
I took a 3 hour boat ride from PorVenir to Punta Arenas, then a 2 hour plane ride from there to Puerto Montt, then a 30 min bus ride from there to a bus station, then a 1 1/2 hour bus ride to Frutillar! So it was like a 7 hour transfer. Crazy crazy!!!! It is so beatiful here! So, so green and apparently it's the prettiest part of Chile!!!! I will send pictures next week cause I don't have my camera.  But man, there is so much work to do here! So much!" This week has been so much work and it has been so hard because in PorVenir we were teaching all day. And now here it's mostly knocking doors; which I hate to say, is very ineffective. My companion is fresh in the mission. He is form Peru and he is the only active member in his family. His mom is a member but she is less active and he doesn't even know her.  So... he doesn't have really any support at all. He lives with his grandparents and that's it. Now, I live in a house of four people and they're all latinos so my spanish is getting really good. They are helping me with my accent so it's all good! Anyways, thank so much family and friends for all you do"! I love you all so, so much! Thank you for all you do for me and all your prayers!!!!

Dear Family,

This week was a good week, but also kinda sad at the same time. I am getting transferred to Puerto Varas tomorrow! It's in the north! It was sad to have to say goodbye to lot of people again. But it wasn't too bad this second time. The progresion of this place has been amazing. The peole have changed so much.  That is what makes me most happy! The the time here has gone by so extememly fast!!!!  I can't even believe it.

Everyone here says Puerto Varas is the preetiest part of the mission so I'm pretty excited because down in the south is really brown and I have been dying to see some GREEN!!!

What I've learned form this last sector is patience and persistency.  Which is very hard.  I learned that I'm on The Lords time and his errand, not mine.  Life truly is better that way anyways. But I've also learned that people require consistant, patient assistant in order to progress. Also, that the key to helping people change is by inviting them to do so.  Nobody is going to become a member of the chuch unless invited.  Nobody is going to repent unless told to do so!  So never be nervous to invite friends and family to change!!!!!

Anyways, thank you so much family for all the love and support!!! Love you all very very much!!!

Elder Jones's previous companion, Elder Jones, Elder Werner and Elder Beals

Elder Beals & Elder Jones they are as far south as South America goes.

A lot of dogs.

These last couple weeks have been a real test of patience and it has worked so good!

Hahaha, but the work is going good. This might be my last week here in PorVenir because we have transfers this next week.  We will see!  My companion and I have been trying to work really hard and get everything ready before the transfers so that the next missonaries in here can keep up all the stuff we have been doing.
One of my greatest joys in the field is honestly seeing the people live righteously and then see the blessings that come from it. It's so easy to see in the mission the difference between the happiness and the success of the people when they are doing all that the Lord asks them to do verses when they are doing what they want to do. It has definitely been a blessing to be able to see this. Because now I know for a fact that living the gospel is so much better than not.
This last week I decided I would man up and play the organ in church so I practiced all week and I did it! and it was so much better than not having it.
This last week we also had a wedding of a member and an investigator that we are teaching! But wow, I'm telling you, it was so weird to be part of such a wedding. I could definitely see how off the world was and how worldly the world is (if that makes sense.)  The wedding was really nice... However, no matter how nice the wedding is nothing was more sad then for the person to say "Till death do you part."  What a blessing it is that we have the opportunity to be married in the temple and live together forever!!!!
This last week I have truly had the opportunity to see the difference in a group of people that have the gospel and a group that doesn't, side by side, and the truth is that there is no greater happiness than in the gospel, nor can it be found anywhere else with anything else. The only way to have FULL, COMPLETE and TOTAL happiness is through living the gospel of Jesus Christ. I am so greatful and you and I are so blessed to have that gospel in our lives!!!! To be able to wake up every morning with a peaceful feeling that you are doing what is right no matter how hard life gets. THAT IS A BLESSING! I think we are can make a better and more willing effort to share this blessing and this happiness with EVERYONE!!!! because that is truly what will make this world a better place.

Dear Family, I love you all so very much. I am so very greatful for your prayers and your support.

CON AMOR; Elder Beals.

This last week has been hard I wont lie. I dont know how many times I can say the people here just dont get it. However, it was a good week as well. Time is just going by faster and faster everyday. Friday we did some service for a lady who had told us that she needed help organizing some stuff.  However, when we got there she gave us two hoes and we HAND TILLED a garden fulll of grass as big as our backyard!!!!! Now I am so, so sore from not having worked like that in so long! One thing that I definetly have come to realize in the mission is that the worst always comes before the good. And satan is always there to try and get us to turn back. The best way to make it through these trials is to have a plan before hand, and to stick with it to the end. Which has also helped me learn the importance of doing everything with a meaningul purpose!!!!!! Wow the mission is just so so incredible and I am learning so, so much!!!!

I love you all so very much!!!!

If you cant understand this then you will have to throw it into google transate or something!!!

CON AMOR;
ELDER BEALS!!!!
