Monday May 5 2014

Well I just barley got a letter from Chris that said that my brother is going to bolivia!!! That is super super crazy! That is so so cool! I am so excited for him and I can't wait to here stories!

This last week has been a whole lot better! we have been having a little bit more success. This next week is the end of the cambio and I will be staying here for at least one more cambio it looks like! Wow, I am super excited to be able to talk to my brother is spanish! That is going to be so, so cool! But I imagine that he will think that my spanish is bad becuase the spanish here is chile is really really sloppy! But I am so, so, so excited for him. I'm not going to lie, I think I was more nervous to find out where he was going than I was when I got my call!

This last week we invited on of our investigators little brothers to come to church with us Sunday. He agreed so we went and picked him up and took him to church and everything. Then later that night we passed by his house  to start teaching him the lessons. We taught him the restoration. We invited him to be baptized and he accepted. We asked if any questions? and he said, "well I have one. I talked to my mom after church" (she is not a member by the way.) "and I just wanted to know... what do I have to do to be a missionary like you guys?" I had the warmest feeling ever when he said that. Then he said, "I already asked my mom and everything and she told me I have to get baptized and everything but she told me to ask you guys to find out what more I have to do." Wow It was an awesome feeling! Now his older brother, him and his mom are listening to us! So that was pretty much the highlight of the week.

Oh, and also, this week I was on an Inter-cambio with one of the missionaries from my district and we were out tracking.  As we were walking we passed by this guy in the street and he said "Hey elders!" He had just lit a cigar and put it in his mouth right before he called us over, so we went over and he said "You see this?" He was showing us his cigar, then he threw it on the ground and said "come in, I need to talk to you guys." So we went in, he offered us stuff to drink and he said  "Listen, I have a problem with drinking and smoking." He said "I know you guys, because the missionaries used to live in my house 30 years ago." Then he said "I want to stop smoking and drinking and turn my life around and I know that you guys can help me!" and so right there we invited him to be baptized and he said "Yes, I want to do anything I can to change my life!" SO that was pretty cool to this week!

Anyways, I love you so much mom and dad! I am so greatful for all of your love and support! Thank you so much for your example and everything that you have done for me! I love you so so so so so so so so so so so so so very much!!!!!!
